The Great Western Himalayan Motorcycle Ride - Info

Explore the Land of Monks, Nomads and Kinners”

Riding in Indian Himalaya is a dream of every rider, especially highest Motorable road in Western Himalaya (Manali - Leh). This Motorcycle ride starts from the Kullu valley surrounded by high mountains with green alpine forests known as “The Valley of Gods”.  Arrival will be on New Delhi but the riding adventure on your Royal Enfield motorcycle starts from the middle Himalaya. This ride is linking with two of the ultimate mountain range's most breath-taking regions: Dhauladhar and Zanskar. Riding through the Dharamshala “Residence of Dalai Lama” and to the amazing Chamba valley “unique in its grandeur and beauty”, famous for its dangerous roads and the incomparable beauty of Sri Nagar, offers you the life time experience. Enter in Jammu and Kashmir, “Kashmir” the crown of India famous for beautiful house boats on Dal Lake.  Motorcycle ride to Leh & Ladakh is like a ride in lunar landscape high in the remote regions of the plateau of Ladakh, vast and barren and one of the most inaccessible and forbidding region of the world.  This exciting ride is crossing the World's Two Highest Motorable passes and High altitude deserts; riding some stunning roads with its 21,000ft snow-caps ... nothing comes close in terms of natural splendour. Snow covered mountains tower above, frighteningly close, terrifying gorges descend almost vertically to snake – like rivers thousands of feet below- here, in this primeval setting triumphant nature rules supreme.

In monasteries, Monks used different colours of prayer flag to symbolise the peace, compassion, strength and wisdom surrounding the Stupa. “Culture of Ladakh” and ‘stunning vista’ leaves the prints on your mind.

Riding through the barren but beautiful landscape and the high altitude lakes provides you the beauty of nature. These lands are also the traditional summer pastures for shepherd, where the Tibetan nomads bring their yak, goat and sheep to graze… High passes and wide meadows of different regions offer you the unique beauty of nature.

Buddhist monasteries and white washed houses of tiny village and sheer scale of surrounding landscape attract the riders to the remote spiti valley. Steady stream of Motorcycle enthusiasts and safari lovers pit their machines against some of the challenging roads in India.

Something special about a long distance motorcycle trip, maybe it’s the excitement of getting to spend a good chunk of time exploring somewhere new. Or, maybe it’s the prospect of getting to spend a lot of time on a motorcycle, seventeen riding days of mountain roads, twisting pavement, and scenic vistas and ride ends in Manali (Himachal Pradesh) add more adventure on the trip. This is a tough ride, we are riding through mountainous roads will negotiate the worse condition of the road in some places. The Himalaya is still growing, and at the same time collapsing, possibly overnight and across our route. For this reason no itinerary is ever set in stone. Each morning your tour leader will gather information and assess conditions ahead. If our planned route is blocked, we may have to detour, or wait until a passage can be forced. If this happens it is usually overcome, but there is the possibility routes and accommodation will have to change. This is not a normal package holiday, but if you're looking for the ultimate biking adventure, with the best back-up and most fitting overnight accommodation, then you'll love it. We will be riding some of the less travelled roads in Indian Himalayas. Heroes’ crew will take care of your logistic during the ride.

Finally this tour offers awesome adventure, stunning panoramic views, a very real cultural experience and nonstop incredible fun the kind you only get when you are willing to step out of your comfort zone and just go for it!!!
