Ali – Road Captain

Ali has travelled 19 countries in Asia, the Middle East and Africa on two wheels and has lived in the Himalayas for 5 years. When he’s not riding, he’s restoring vintage scooters or building custom motorcycles for an international market at SpeedBoxMoto. Proficient in English, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic and Persian, and happy behind the camera, he has published articles in various publications such as Nat Geo India and Lonely Planet to name a few. He knows his way around this planet and is sure to turn your adventure into pure poetry!

Bogi – Road Captain

If you don’t get Bogi’s sense humour, that’s because Mongolians don’t have one! In all seriousness though, Boogii is a most gentle and caring man, who knows Mongolia like his own back yard. Since he’s always out there riding and exploring new opportunities in the wild, the nomad families are like his own. He takes immense pride in showing his country to fellow riders from around the world. You won’t find a better host!

Nakul – Photographer / Road Captain

He grew up infected by the travel bug and spends most of his time traveling and photographing around the world. Nakul has been working as a tour leader from 2010 all over India with multiple Travel Agencies and he loves to share and talk about Indian culture and traditions. Expert on the terrain and multilingual guide, Nakul speaks French (having been a freelance French interpreter in Delhi, for 3 years), English and Hindi.

Sajo – Germany

A digital nomad by passion, Sajo has navigated some of the finest roads of the Alps and Himalayas on his motorcycle before making Germany his second home country. He is one of the directors of Motorcycle Expeditions GmbH Deutschland. In addition to his native Hindi language he also speaks German and English. Sajo also leads guided tours in Europe and Asia for both inbound and outbound motorcycle adventures.

Massimo – Italy

Massimo is a veteran motorsport and travel freelance journalist who has explored dozens of countries in Africa, USA and South America, as well as Australia and India. Since 1991 he has contributed stories and photographs to major Italian motorcycle magazines and has also collaborated in the organization of national and international motorcycle competitions and championships.
He is in charge of experiential tour programs of Federazione Motociclistica Italiana and runs Motorcycle Expeditions in Italy.

Viv – Australia

Viv is a self-taught photographer and although a late starter in motorcycling, has been adventuring for almost just as long. Since 2013 she has taken on a variety of terrains across the Himalayas in both India and Nepal, traversed Mongolia and soloed through Japan. She speaks Italian, Spanish, currently learning Japanese and is a contributor to motorcycle and travel magazines.
For our Aussies, Viv will be your point of contact before, during and after any adventure.



Operations India


Irma – India

All her life Irma dreamt of riding into the sunset on her motorcycle. Buying a motorbike and leaving her career in IT behind to live and ride in the Himalayas, turned dreams to reality. By now, she has adventured through most of the Southern African continent and a vast amount of India including the Indian and Nepal Himalayas on a motorcycle. Irma also speaks fluent English, Afrikaans, Dutch and some German and is your point of contact in India.

Sunil – India

Sunil ensures that your trip runs like a well-orchestrated symphony. With laser precision he plans the entire infrastructure from bookings to bikes so that you, our Riders need only concern yourselves with enjoyment. He serves as online backup during the trips, in case there are on-the-fly requests, again to guarantee you a “Ride beyond your Dreams”.



Technical Team


Nupender – Garage Manager

Our Garage Manager and Royal Enfield enthusiast, he ensures that all the bikes our fleets are properly repaired and prepared for our rides. Nupender is hard-working and a passionate rider who loves the bikes and takes care of all the tools and bikes at the garage. His management skill is excellent and delivery is always on time.

Shajad

Master of our garage team and senior mechanic, he takes the art of motorcycle maintenance very seriously. The garage is a niche where he is able to experiment and improve on the bikes to keep our fleets roaring while riding the high Himalayan and other tough terrains. He also accompanies tours to ensure the continuity of our riding adventures.

Salman

Salman is the dynamic mechanic at our garage. He has been dabbling with Royal Enfields since childhood. As a Classic 500 whiz, customization of vintage and other Royal Enfields make for some of his favourite pastime. Salman also accompanies tours to keep the adventure, assistance other with bike and snack requirements and plenty of good humour coming ceaselessly.


Jassa Bir

Jassa Bir, AKA “Just-a-Beer”, is the Maestro mechanic of our Expeditions. Originally from Punjab and father of four children, he is both an experienced and passionate rider and one of the Motorcycle Expeditions team highlights. Based in Delhi for the last decade, he assists many of our motorcycle tours on the Sub-continent, including the Himalayas, Nepal and Bhutan. Most of all, beyond being a team member, he is also a good friend and an unforgettable travel companion.

Botka

A kind-hearted man of few words but many talents, who always answers with a big smile. Botka keeps an eye on riders and motorcycles from his back up jeep for the duration of our adventures. Thanks to him, we can have maximum fun out there on and off the roads.
