Forgotten Kingdom of The Himalayas

Upon arrival, you’ll be met by a Motorcycle Expeditions representative and transferred to the hotel in a private vehicle. In the evening, you’ll be introduced to your motorcycle and then we’ll go for dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant. This is where your cultural immersion begins – WELCOME TO NEPAL! After breakfast, we negotiate the traffic out of Kathmandu and enjoy the Himalayan Mountains, valleys and rivers all the way to Pokhara, where views of the glorious Annapurna Mountains including the famous Fish Tail Mountain will greet us. Surrounded by magnificent 8000m high peaks, Pokhara is a paradise with its crystal clear lakes. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel.

Soon we’ll leave the tarmac behind for some exhilarating off road routes that provide an abundance of river crossings, fantastic mountain vistas, picturesque, terraced farmlands and an opportunity to walk on one of Nepal’s famous suspension bridges. There is a continuous change in the topography with every twist and turn until our arrival at Kalopani. Dinner and overnight stay at a guest house.

We’re in for a long day through some of the most amazing landscapes of the Kali Gandai river, tackling a large river crossing in Lower Mustang while surrounded by gigantic mountains. Kagbeni is the last village with internet before going 100% online with the “Here Now” (~ Ram Dass) for a few days! A visit to Muktinath is optional. Dinner and overnight stay at a guest house.

It’s a short day in the saddle past mindblowing sandstone formations and through the valley of Lo to Lo Manthang, but you’ll be charmed by a visit to the King’s winter palace and some ancient monasteries. Dinner and overnight stay at a guest house.
